This Privacy Policy describes how SC-Riber ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you use our application and services. By using our services, you consent to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Information You Provide Directly: This includes data you provide when creating an account, using our services, or contacting support (e.g., name, email address, and any messages or files you send).
• Automatically Collected Information: device and operating system type, app version, language, crash diagnostics, analytics events, push notification tokens, and advertising/attribution identifiers.
• Usage Information: the features you use and, in paid products, the actions you perform and the credits they consume.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services.
• Develop new features and functionalities.
• Personalize your user experience.
• Communicate with you regarding updates, promotions, or support.
• Ensure the security and integrity of our platform.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of SC-Riber, except in the following circumstances:

• With Your Consent: When you provide explicit consent for sharing.
• For External Processing: We may share data with trusted service providers who process information on our behalf, following strict confidentiality and security agreements. Your data may be processed outside of your country of residence, including in countries that may not have the same data protection laws. We currently use the following service providers: Google (Firebase — authentication, database, storage, analytics and crash reporting; AdMob — advertising), RevenueCat (subscription management), and AppsFlyer (install attribution). Product-specific providers are listed in the relevant product section below.
• For Legal Reasons: If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, we may disclose your information.

4. Data Security

We employ robust technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information as follows:

• Basic account details (email address and account creation date) for 1 year after account deletion to prevent abuse of free usage rights.
• Other data is deleted promptly after account closure, unless required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Product-specific retention periods are described in the product sections below.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
• Restrict or object to data processing in certain circumstances.
• Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including the use of your data to improve our AI features.
• Receive a copy of your data — where a product offers an export function, you can use it at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority if you believe your rights are violated.

7. Product-Specific Disclosures — Invoix

The following applies only to Invoix, our invoice scanning application.

What we process. When you scan an invoice we process the invoice image and the data extracted from it: company name, tax ID, tax authority, invoice number, date, currency, total and tax amounts, and line items — together with any corrections you make before saving.

AI processing. Invoice images are sent to Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini) for recognition, which processes them as our service provider.

Model improvement — you can turn this off. If "Help improve the model" is enabled (on by default; change it at any time in Settings → Privacy) we retain the invoice image, the data our AI extracted, and your corrections, and use them to measure, evaluate and improve the accuracy of our invoice recognition, including training machine learning models. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the accuracy of the service, and you may object at any time using that setting. When it is disabled we do not retain your invoice images, extracted data or corrections for this purpose — only non-identifying operational information such as which model and language were used.

Retention.

• Scans you never saved: deleted, together with the image, 90 days after the scan.
• Scans you saved, and any corrections: retained while your account is active, and deleted when you delete your account.

Your copy. Your invoices are stored on your device and can be exported to Excel from within the app at any time.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be effective when posted on this page. We encourage you to review this policy regularly to stay informed.
